The back up alarm of the 600 series is equipped with an audible warning system that sounds to the back of the reflecting housing. This guarantees better safety and therefore a long operating life of the back up alarm.
Now there are also models with multi-frequency sound.
This also White Noise called sound has many advantages over common beepers.
• Better to hear.
A broadband sound can be about 5 dB quieter than a beeping sound, but it is nonetheless felt and perceived to be just as loud.
• Better localisation than a beep sound.
The broadband sound is reflected less from reflecting surfaces, so that it is always clear where the source of danger is.
• Faster scatter than a beep sound.
The broadband sound is only audible in the danger zone. This means maximum perception by those affected with minimal disturbance to the surroundings.
• The pleasant sound is not irritating.
The consequence is constant vigilance; there is no de-sensitisation.
