Light

A light is a luminaire that emits a specifically shaped beam pattern by optical components such as reflectors, lenses and diffusors.

A distinction is made between headlights, which have to meet very strict specifications for minimum and maximum brightness as well as for the beam pattern due to legal requirements for road traffic, and work lights and auxiliary lights, for which no such legal requirements exist.
