Photometry
Photometry is the analysis of visible light according to various characteristics. It is part of the engineering sciences.
For a light, photometric analysis can consist of quantifying (brightness) and qualifying (e.g. colour temperature) the emitted light, plotting the beam pattern and calculating the losses of the light.
