Back in 2009 J.W. Speaker introduced model 8700. It was the world`s first road approved retrofit LED headlight. In 2012 this light evolved and became the Evolution series with the introduction of various options such as a choice of chrome or black bezel and with or without position light. The next generation Evolution 2 had improved beam patterns with the so-called “Comfort Light”, which allowed a harmonious illumination of the street. And the Evolution-J models were specifically designed for the electrics of jeeps.
Now model 8700 has evolved again and the new model 8700 Evolution 2 Dual Burn sets the benchmark for LED headlights!
J.W. Speaker has once again managed to increase the brightness. The low beam is as bright as the high beam of the pre-predecessor with 750 effective lumens, the high beam with 1260 effective lumens is also significantly brighter. In addition, the low beam remains switched on when the high beam is activated. This function, called “dual burn”, leads to an even better illumination of the road.
Now also a heated lens has been integrated into this special version of the headlight, which effectively prevents fogging of the lens even in cloudy and cold weather. And in harsh winter conditions it always ensures ice-free light!
Modell 8700 Evolution 2 Dual Burn is a 7 inch round 2D1 PAR56 replacement.
